Jessie Aline Bettler McCreary, October 29, 1919 - December 30, 2010

The family gathered at Grayson's Funeral Home in Charlestown, Indiana, where we had previously said Goodbye to her parents, aunt,
brother and nephew.  In keeping with her lifelong philosophy of agnosticism we did not offer any of the usual Christian rites of burial
but celebrated her life with fond memories and observations from various family members, supplemented with tender and joyous songs.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to the Louisville Federation of Musicians in support
of the musicians of the Louisville Orchestra.

Matt spoke without notes, recalling several incidents from our childhood, such as the time Mom slept in the living room with a shotgun at hand
to ward off thieves interested in our new GTO.

Jennifer's songs have been posted to YouTube:

"I'll Be Seeing You" "White Cliffs of Dover"  "And When I Die" "When the Saints Go Marching In"

The variety of histories, anecdotes and recollections contributed to a warm and full picture of Aline, augmented by a picture board depicting
the scope and variety of her life and experiences, plus a montage of portraits.  View more pictures here, and thanks to everyone who
contributed these.
